'Tis The Season: Five Festive Recipes

I'm back with some seasonal recipes for you today. Here are five that I've tried out and loved (You may recognise some of them from previous blog posts...)

'Tis The Season: Christmas Home Decor

We're one step closer to Christmas, so for today's Blogmas post I thought I'd share some of my festive decorations with you...

'Tis The Season: Five Things I Love About Christmas

Today I am sharing five things that make this season so special for me. Some of them are big things that most people associate with Christmas and some are just little things that I always look forward to.

'Tis The Season: My Top Five Christmas Films

Watching Christmas films is one of my favourite things about the holiday season. Well, that and still being a big kid with a chocolate advent calendar to open each morning.

There are so many brilliant Christmas movies to watch and I always have trouble trying to find the time to watch them all, but I have a few absolute favourites that I have to watch every single year, without fail.

However, before I go through my top five Christmas films, I have a couple of questions to ask you all first because these are two highly debated questions both in our house and online:

1. Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?

2. Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Christmas or Halloween movie?

Let me know your answers in the comments below!

Now, on to my five favourite films (in no particular order)...

'Tis The Season: My Favourite Christmas Books

It's time for my second post for Blogmas and today I'm sharing some of my favourite Christmas books...

Baking, Book Club & Being Thankful | Month In Review: November 2018

I can't believe November is over already. That month went so quickly, December came out of nowhere! Anyway, here's what I got up to in the month of November...

'Tis The Season: Braintree Street Market & Christmas Light Switch On

Hi guys! Today I want to share an exciting blog post with you all. As most of you will probably know, I am predominantly a book blogger but I have mentioned before that I wanted to start branching out. Last weekend I had the perfect opportunity to do just that. I got the chance to cover a local event as Braintree town held their Christmas Street Market and light switch on.

Here's what I got up to...

Autumn, Anniversary & American Football | Month In Review: October 2018

Hey guys! So we are well into autumn now - my favourite season - and although the weather has been a bit up and down, ranging from rainy to summertime sunshine, but I am loving this time of year!

I didn't have a lot going on at the start of October but with the half term break I had a lot planned. So, let's get into it...

Trying American Halloween Treats

Hey guys! Happy Halloween! So about two weeks ago I placed an order with A Taste of the States. If you haven't heard of this company, they are amazing and they have so many different American sweets and treats that you cannot buy in stores in the UK. There is the odd American store that sells some of this stuff, but unless you want to pay £10 for Pop Tarts or £15 for a box of cereal then I suggest looking on their website (which I've linked above).

I ordered five items, all from their autumn and Halloween range. It arrived quickly and I was very excited to try it all!

Here are the five things that I ordered...

Film Review: Bohemian Rhapsody

I finally managed to find the time to fit in a trip to the cinema, which is surprising seeing as this is one of the busiest weeks I've had in a long time. However, Clay was desperate to see Bohemian Rhapsody, a film based on the life and talent of Freddie Mercury and the band Queen.

So here is my review...

Film Review: First Man

Hi guys, I'm back with another film review! I haven't reviewed many movies recently, mainly because I haven't been going to the cinema as much as I usually would. This is for a few reasons, including that there hasn't been that many films that I've been interesting in over the past few months and that I have been really busy!

But here I am, finally bringing you a review for First Man which I saw last weekend...

Book Review: The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski

I'm back with another book review for you, but this time with a difference. If you are a regular reader of my reviews then you will have probably noticed that I usually review upcoming releases or relatively new books. However, today I will be mixing that up and reviewing a slightly older book.

Today I'm going to be reviewing The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski. A couple of weeks ago I was discussing books with a colleague when he recommended The Last Wish. He was then kind enough to lend me his copy which I read over the weekend.

Book Review: Cordially Invited by Zoe Sugg

I had been excited for this book since the moment it was announced and I knew I wanted to write a blog post about it once I received my copy. This is going to be a very different kind of review compared to my other book reviews because it isn't fictional and I will obviously be talking about different aspects. However, I couldn't go without writing anything about it.

Visiting the Pumpkin Patch | Foxes Farm Produce

It's that time of year again. I love going to a pumpkin patch every year. It's right at the top of my autumn bucket list, I simply have to go. I usually end up going more than once as well.

I want to share my favourite pumpkin patch with you: Foxes Farm Produce.

My Autumn Home Decor 2018

Hey guys! I'm so happy to be able to share this blog post with you today, as it's finally time to show you how I have decorated my house for autumn. You probably already know this about me - but if you don't - autumn is my favourite time of the year. I love how the weather starts to change, I love the colours, I love the food and drink, such as homemade soups, pumpkin pie, seasonal coffees... The list goes on!

I always decorate my home at this time of year, making it feel cosy. I have these decorations up from the very beginning of October (although I did start putting some stuff out in September this year!) and they stay up until the end of November, after thanksgiving.

So, let me show you what I have in my home this season...

Book Review: One Enchanted Evening by Anton Du Beke

I am so excited to be bringing you this book review today. I have been looking forward to reading this ever since I first saw it announced on Twitter. I've been a fan of Anton as a dancer for years, so I was intrigued to see what his writing was like. I was very lucky to be sent a copy of the book before the release date to review.

Sundown, Sports & the Sea | Month In Review: September 2018

September has been a manic month. I've had a lot going on, including going back to work after the summer break. So, let me share what I've been up to...

Book Review: Mary and Frankenstein

I'm so excited to be review this book today on my blog for a number of reasons. First of all, anyone who knows me will tell you that I absolutely love all things autumnal. I love pumpkins, the chill in the air, the colours and the nights drawing in. It gives off a somewhat spooky vibe, which brings me to Halloween. Although I'm not huge on big scares and gore, I do like Halloween and that is mainly down to the scary stories.

Like I said before, I'm not one for true horror and gore but I book like a mild spooky tale. That being said, one unforgettable scary story that I loved when I first read it years ago was Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Book Review: Life's A Beach by Chloe Coles

I'm back with another book review, sharing my thoughts on Life's A Beach by Chloe Coles. This book is Chloe's second which follows on from her debut, Bookshop Girl. You can read my review of her first book here

Now, on to this review...

Book Review & Preview Extract | She is Fierce Blog Tour

Hi guys! I'm so excited to be a part of the She Is Fierce blog tour today and share with you my thoughts on this beautiful book.

She Is Fierce is a collection of Brave, bold and beautiful poems by women.

I will be reviewing it in this post, but first I have a preview extract from the book for you...

Road Trips, Writing & Readathons | Month In Review: August 2018

I'm back with another monthly review! I've had quite a lot going on in August but, being the summer and having some time off, I have also had some days where I've been busy doing "nothing".

Here's what I got up to in August…

Jump Street Media Event

Earlier this month, my friend and blogger Jess Hursit and I attended an event at Jump Street Chelmsford. We were invited to try out some of the activities they have on offer...

Film Review: Christopher Robin

Hi guys! I've been pretty rubbish with writing film reviews recently, mainly because I haven't actually been going to the cinema as often as I normally would. Or as much as I would like to. I actually went to see Christopher Robin over a week ago but I just haven't had the chance to sit down and write this review.

I was so excited to see this film. I cried when I saw the first trailer for it because it took me right back to my childhood and my memories of Winnie the Pooh. I had classic Winnie the Pooh books when I was a child and I just loved everything about the animals and the Hundred Acre Wood.

So, read on for my movie review...

Summer Reading Challenge: Week Six

I can't believe it's the sixth and final week of the Summer Reading Challenge!

Let's get straight into it so I can share with you the book I will be reading for the last week of the challenge and which book I want to recommend to you.

Rays of Sunshine 24 Hour Readathon

Hey guys! As most of you will probably know by now, I organised a 24 hour readathon with some friends and fellow bloggers/YouTubers to raise money for the Rays of Sunshine children's charity. I did a 24 hour readathon for charity last year - which you can see here - and after staying how tired it made me and how difficult it was... I decided to do it again. Silly idea, right? But all for a great cause.

Here's how I got on...

Summer Reading Challenge: Week Five

It's week five of the Summer Reading Challenge and it's readathon day!

Today I'm sharing a book that I will be reading this week, but not as part of the readathon (unless I finish all of my other planned books with time to spare) and I'm sharing a recommendation for you too.

Don't forget, you can still donate to the 24 hour readathon, as we raise money for Rays of Sunshine.

Rays of Sunshine 24 Hour Readathon TBR

It's almost time for the Rays of Sunshine 24 Hour Readathon!

You can still donate here.

Before I start my twenty-four hours of continuous reading I thought I would share my TBR pile for this readathon. Last time I did a readathon I only planned thought I'd be able to read eight books, but I managed to read nine, so I have set ten aside this time to make sure I have a couple of spare books.

I've also made this readathon TBR list a mixture of books I've owned for ages but still haven't read, library books, and a few that I've read before but really want to reread.

So, here are the ten books I have ready to go...

GUEST POST: Summer Reading Recommendation by Emily (Definitely Em)

It's time for another brilliant guest post! Today I have Emily sharing her summertime reading recommendation.

Emily has become a great online friend of mine over the past year. We first spoke on Twitter last May when I mentioned that I wanted to do my first 24 hour readathon and Emily replied to say she would love to do a readathon too, suggesting that we both vlog it. Since then we speak on a regular basis through Twitter and Snapchat. I even had a dream the other week that we were meeting for the first time at a train station (which looked exactly like the Hogwarts platform in Harry Potter), I gave Emily a Krispy Kreme doughnut and she gave me a slice of pineapple pizza... which made me cry with happiness. It was a weird dream that made me wake up craving pizza and doughnuts but it made me smile!

Anyway, carry on reading to see which book Emily wants to recommend to you this summer...

Summer Reading Challenge: Week Four

It's week four of the Summer Reading Challenge and it's not long now until the Rays of Sunshine 24 hour readathon!

On the topic of the readathon, I've spoken to a few bloggers and friends that are not able to do Saturday 18th August and that's fine. You can work it into your week however you like, doing it on a weekday if that is better for you. I just went with a majority after speaking to some people who were interested in being involved.

Anyway, here is the book I will be reading this week before the readathon and a recommendation for you to add to your TBR list...

John Lewis Blogger Event

Happy Friday everyone! I'm posting this a bit later than I would have liked, but I had so many book reviews - including a blog tour - to fit in this week that this has ended up going up a week after the event.

However, I am very excited to be writing about this amazing John Lewis blogger event, held at the Bond Street Chelmsford store last Thursday.

A group of Essex bloggers were kindly invited along to the store to preview next seasons style trends from a range of womenswear brands, including one that only launched in-store that day. We were also able to see new makeup from some of my favourite beauty brands, sample skincare products, browse jewellery and take a lot of photos!

Read on to find out more about the event...

Book Review: The Light Between Us by Katie Khan

Happy publication day to The Light Between Us by Katie Khan!

I'm so happy to be reviewing this book on my blog. I read Katie's first book - Hold Back the Stars - at the beginning of 2017 and fell in love with it, so when I found out she was writing another book I was so excited.

So, let's get on to the review...

An Interview with Charlotte Seager | My [Secret] YouTube Life Blog Tour

I'm so excited to be a part of this book blog tour! My [Secret] YouTube Life is a book that I had seen pop up on a few social media pages, mainly on Twitter, and the title intrigued me so much that I went over to GoodReads and added it to my TBR list.

I feel incredibly lucky to have been sent a copy of this book by the publishers, who then asked if I would like to be involved with the blog tour. Obviously, I said yes!

I then had the chance to ask debut author Charlotte Seager some questions about her book and the key themes, including fame, social media and online presence.

Read on for the interview...

GUEST POST: Summer Reading Recommendation by Jess (Jess Hursit)

It's guest post day, and here today with her summertime reading recommendation is my friend Jess.

Jess and I attended YA Prom together last month so she understands my love of books and the feeling is mutual. I very proudly introduced her to the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, so we're on this reading journey together forever now that she loves Sarah J Maas too!

Anyway, read on to see what Jess would recommend to you this summer...

Book Review: Wilde About The Girl by Louise Pentland

I'm back with another book review and I am very excited for this one!

As you may know, I love Louise Pentland, as a YouTuber, as a weekly vlogger, as a general human being. I think she's brilliant. I also love Louise for her writing. Last year I read Louise's debut novel, Wilde Like Me, and I fell in love with her writing, her wit and her characters. So, you can imagine how excited I was to read the sequel, Wilde About the Girl, a year later.

Film Review: Ant-Man and the Wasp

It's time for another Marvel film at the cinema, so you can bet that I was there on opening night!

I've been so busy lately that I almost forgot about this new MCU movie being released, but luckily I managed to book up some tickets in plenty of time and get my usual (favourite) cinema seat.

So, here's my review of the latest Marvel instalment...

Summer Reading Challenge: Week Three

It's week three of the Summer Reading Challenge and here is what I'll be reading and recommending this week...

Book Review: One Would Think The Deep by Claire Zorn

Happy UK publication day to One Would Think The Deep by Claire Zorn!

I was lucky enough to be sent a copy by the publishers which I am very grateful for. I didn't know much about this book before picking it up, only what I'd read of the synopsis, but I was interested in giving it a go.

Read on for my review...

Prom, Parties & Summertime Reads | Month In Review: July 2018

Hi guys, I'm here with another month in review post for you (if you're interested in what I've been up to over the past four weeks). It's been a busy month again but hopefully I can have some downtime now over the summer.

So, here is my month in review for July...

GUEST POST: Summer Reading Recommendation by Kelly (Kelly's Book Space)

It's time for another guest post as part of my Summer Reading Challenge.

Today, Kelly is sharing the book she wants to recommend to you this summer...

Summer Reading Challenge: Week Two

It's week two of the Summer Reading Challenge!

The weather has been amazing here in the UK this past week, although it's been a little bit too hot for me! However, it was the perfect weather to enjoy a book, whether you were sat in the sunshine or in the shade.

We also had a great guest post from Amy at GoldenBooksGirl, who recommended a fantastic book for you to read this summer.

I'll be doing a wrap-up of all of the books I've reading during the Summer Reading Challenge - and during the 24 hour readathon - at the end of the six weeks, but my friends Emily and Kelly have done their week one wrap-ups:

But here is what I will be reading this week, plus another book that I would recommend to you this summer...

Film Review: Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again

I cannot believe that I haven't written a film review in over a month! This is because I haven't been to the cinema in over a month though. I've just been so busy these past few weeks, plus I lost my glasses (which I have since found) so I had to wait almost two weeks for my new ones.

Anyway, enough about me and my missing eye-wear. I finally got to see Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. I was attending YA Prom on opening night so I knew I was going to have to wait to see it, but I also needed to see it as soon as possible.

Some people will know this about me already but I'm about to share it with you all, no matter how embarrassing you may think it is: I saw the first Mamma Mia movie at the cinema 11 times! Yep. 11 times. 11 trips to the cinema to see the same film. I should mention that I have a Cineworld Unlimited Card so it wasn't so bad in terms of cost, but I understand how it makes me look like a crazy person.

So, as you can imagine I wanted to see this new film desperately. And no, I will not be seeing this one 11 times. I don't think. Maybe. Anyway, here is my review for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again...

GUEST POST: Summer Reading Recommendation by Amy (Golden Books Girl)

It's time for my first guest post as part of my Summer Reading Challenge.

Today, the lovely Amy is sharing the book she wants to recommend to you this summer...

Event: YA Prom with Katherine Webber

After weeks and weeks of counting down to YA Prom, the day finally arrived and I have never been so excited for a book event. Basically, Katherine Webber is a genius because she held a prom-themed event for the launch of her new book, Only Love Can Break Your Heart.

Summer Reading Challenge: Week One

It's the first day of the Summer Reading Challenge today!

If you're not sure what the Summer Reading Challenge is then you can look at my previous blog post here.

At the start of each week during this challenge I will be sharing the library book that I have chosen to read, plus I'll be sharing one of my summertime recommendations.

So, here's what I'll be reading this week and what I'd like to recommend to you...

An Interview With Lauren Price | ABBSMB Blog Tour

First of all, happy publication day to A Bad Boy Stole My Bra!

I'm so happy to be a part of the blog tour for Lauren Price's debut. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - and I have included a review paragraph at the end of this blog post - so I thrilled to have the opportunity to ask Lauren a few questions.

Read on for my interview with Lauren...

Summer Reading Challenge + 24 Hour Readathon

I'm so happy to finally announce something that I have been working on for quite a while now!

I am especially excited to be collaborating with some amazing book bloggers, BookTubers and other book-loving friends on this challenge.

So, read on to find out about the Summer Reading Challenge and readathon...

Panic At The Disco Book Tag

I have the most random taste in music. I don't have a particular favourite, it all depends on what I feel like listening to. If my music is put on shuffle you will most likely get a mix of Shawn Mendes, Andrea Bocelli, Carrie Underwood, Alfie Boe, Ariana Grande, Broadway/West End soundtracks, KYLE, 5 Seconds of Summer... The list goes on.

Birthday, BRIT Awards & Blog Tours | Month In Review: June 2018

I thought I would start something new on my blog, which I have seen others doing and I thought it was a pretty good idea, which is a monthly review. These reviews will include a bit of everything, from places I've been and events that have happened to the books I've read and the films I've seen.

So, here is my month in review for June...

Book Review: My Heart Goes Bang by Keris Stainton

I was so happy when I opened my mail earlier this week and found this lovely book inside. Book mail is the best kind of mail, especially when it's a book that I've been wanting to read since I first read the synopsis. I immediately put down my current read (Sorry, Girl Online on Tour!) and started reading this.

So, let's get on with the review...

Book Review: Open Road Summer by Emery Lord

I have been wanting to read this book for so long! It has been out in the US for a few years now but it has only just been released here in the UK this month. I kept toying with the idea of ordering it from America through the Book Depository but I'm so glad that I waited to have the UK version in my hands!
